The Simsbury Inn Wedding: Tim & Marissa

Someone once asked me what my favorite part of a wedding day was and honestly it's really hard to choose! But there is just something about the moment the bride & groom first see each other that gets me every time. It's not so much the look on their faces at that initial moment but rather it is the calmness & joy that encompasses them from that moment on. When Marissa finally got to hold Tim's hands and wrap herself in his embrace, there was not a care in the world. It was their day- so elegant & stunning and perfect in so many ways.

Congratulations Tim & Marissa!

All week the weather forecast showed nothing but rain for Tim & Tara's big day. But as the date got closer the predicted weather began to show a little sunshine. I think May is probably my favorite month ever! The weather is unbelievable and beautiful flowers are beginning to sprout up everywhere you look. Elizabeth Park is definitely one of the best places to be if you want to see Spring in full bloom. I'm so happy Myla & Dave suggested the park for their engagement shoot! It was the perfect spot to spend a May afternoon. :)

Indian Trail Club Wedding: Joe & Liz

I had the BEST time photographing Liz & Joe's wedding! I mean, really, how can you not have fun when the bridal party literally loves to party, the couple is the absolute sweetest, and the late night snack was McDonalds! Every detail of their wedding was stunning and it was such a honor to be able to document all the joy and amazing memories made that day. Liz & Joe are truly loved by so many friends & family and although they will soon be starting a new adventure in London they will definitely by missed my many.

Congratulations Joe & Liz!

A huge thank you to Sejal for second shooting with me! Love these images she captured of Joe getting ready:

Featured: Shoot & Share Contest Finalist 2016!

Ahhhhh! I am jumping up and down in my pj's over here! This year I decided to submit some of my images into the Shoot & Share contest for the very first time and placed! It's a little intimidating how many images are submitted into this contest. There were over 180,000 photos from top photographers all over the world and around 25 million votes were cast. Honored doesn't even begin to describe how I felt when I got the news that one of my images placed 17th in the "Just the Guests" category!!! I am over the moon! To see more winning images from this contest, click here

Featured: Borrowed & Blue

I loved everything about Pamela & Mike's wedding! From her stunning veil to the beautiful church where they became husband & wife in front of their dearest family and friends. The details of the day were just amazing! To see more from this stunning feature & why I'm not the only one who loved it so much, click here

Thanks Borrowed & Blue for the gorgeous feature!!

Featured: A Paper Proposal

Currently as I write this it's snowing and I'm wrapped in multiple layers at my desk. But earlier today when I saw PJ & Liz's beautiful coastal wedding featured over on A Paper Proposal I could have sworn the clouds had parted and the sun was literally singing my name. Though none of that actually happened, it was awesome to be able to relive this wedding that had me dreaming of warmer weather. But until then, click here to see more gorgeous details from this feature!

A huge thank you to A Paper Proposal for the stunning feature!

Engaged: Tim & Marissa

I love when couples suggest unique spots to take photos! Nibbling Brook Farm is definitely an extraordinary place. It's a Christmas Tree Farm but it is so much more than that. Sitting right next to the Mattatuck State Forest and surrounded by majestic pines, it's natural beauty is one of the many things that makes this place so special. It was the perfect spot for Tim & Marissa's engagement shoot and the best way to start 2016!

A BIG thank you to Nibbling Brook Farm for allowing us to use their beautiful property!

Tim & Marissa- Thanks so much for spending your Saturday afternoon with me! I had such a great time exploring the farm with you guys. I hope you two were able to warm up once you got home! Looking forward to the Big Day (and warmer weather) in June!

A look back at 2015!

This has truly been one incredible year! I had the best time creating this blog post. It was as if I was experiencing each of these shoots all over again. I'm sure every photographer says this but I really do have some of the most AMAZING clients in the world and I'm so thankful that I was able to be a part of capturing so many beautiful memories in 2015. I'm excited to see what the new year brings!

Atkins Family

I was able to spend some time with Tom, Kris, & Tessa recently & I must say, they are one fun family to be around. It's obvious that Tessa, who by the way has the cutest little giggles in the world, has inherited Tom & Kris's love for life. I had such a great time capturing this beautiful family & their incredibly sweet & joyful personalities.

Tom, Kris, & Tessa- Thanks so much for allowing me to capture your sweet family! I had such an awesome time with you guys. I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season & I wish you so many wonderful things in the New Year!
